I am an ordained minister, trained at Kings College London. Over the last 30 years I have gained much ecumenical experience, serving those of differing denominations and of none. Most of my work has been in pastoral care – both as both a chaplain and minister. I currently pastor a church in Brighton. Over the years I have easily taken over 1,000 funeral services, and I can tell you that no two have been the same.
Would you like a traditional religious service, or one that draws elements from a variety of sources? Would you prefer a service that includes only one or two faith elements, maybe a prayer and/or a psalm? Sometimes we don’t want a particularly ‘religious’ service, but do want to honour a loved one’s faith journey and family traditions.

A good funeral service reflects the lives and faith of those who are grieving as well as the life and faith of the one who has died. I never insist on any specific content but will help you find the balance of spiritual and personal that is right for you.
